The Broken bridge is derelict pedestrian bridge located at the mouth of the Adyar River in Chennai, India.
The bridge was built to facilitate the movement of fishermen from Santhome beach to Elliot’s beach over the mouth of the Adyar river. The bridge spans across the Adyar estuary bordering the backend of the Theosophical Society. The bridge partly collapsed after due to strong currents of the river during a particular monsoon, and was later never repaired.
